The Gardener

Sad she was when the Gardener did she meet

With mournful questions did she greet

For she did not know then who He was

She did not know He was there for her cause

He Who is the Sower of all things

He Who is the King of all kings

She who that morn was still terribly broken

For just two days before with Him she had spoken

He she now assumed was in this tomb

The Gardener there to spruce up did she presume

Her mind so far away

Full of angst she needed to pray

Then His words to her Mary

Her response in joy Rabbouni

The Gardener it really was He

No longer did she feel the pressure to flee

Her Lord alive arisen from the dead

Mary of Magdalene joyous tears did she that morning shed
