The USCCB's NFP Awareness Week is Right Now! Are the U.S. Bishops Themselves Bothering to Notice?
Years ago, I worked in a diocesan office dedicated to human disability concerns. In what struck me as cynical at the time, a priest told me that bishops establish offices, instead of doing something about a particular issue.
More than 30 years later, I think that the priest had a point. It appears to me that some bishops shy away from pro life concerns and pro marriage/family concerns, while having offices....
At this moment, we are two days into Natural Family Planning Awareness Week (why just a week), but there appears to be minimal acknowledgement of this on parish levels.
