The Mystery of God - Part 2
The Hand of God
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
Many people react differently to adverse situations in their lives. Some question the very existence of God in all the problems of their daily lives. Some people curse God. All these things are far from the truth. The actual truth is that God is with us always suffering with us in all our trials and tribulations. How often do we acknowledge Him? Probably, we give God very little in the way of acknowledgement. Let us start with our morning. Do we say, “Good Morning God” or do we say, “Good God, Morning! Do we praise and thank Him that we have been given the grace to see another day? If we did this, we might start the day in a better mood and be more attentive to the world that surrounds us. Showing love is a two-way street. When we acknowledge Jesus in the morning and show love, He in turn acknowledges us to the Father, and together, They send an extra infusion of the Holy Spirit into our lives. Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the love and inspiration of God. I think everyone can use that love and inspiration in our lives with all the problems of the world and our own day-to-day problems and anxieties.
So now we begin our day with breakfast. How often do we say grace before and after meals? We always need God to bless our food and us. We should always give thanks for our food. Giving thanks for our food ensures that we will always have food on our table. We must also share this blessing with the less fortunate. I am sure that every parish has a food drive. Just one can or package of food to feed the hungry from each of us spreads the love and blessings of God to the needy. We have just become the hand of God.
As I said at the beginning of this article, many react differently to adversities. Former President Trump went through an assassination attempt on his life. I believe that this act changed him. I believe that he will appreciate life more and cherish his family even more now than ever. For him to be alive can only be attributed to the hand of God. God wants him to complete his work that he began in 2017. He must do so by bettering the lives of all Americans with a gentle guiding hand. He must make our nation strong again. He must become a peacemaker throughout our nation and our world. He must make our nation strong again. God has blessed the United States of America with abundant natural resources to rebuild our strength. We must use these resources to bring peace to troubled world. I have heard it said that when there is peace in the world, the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, will return and usher in his millennial kingdom of peace as promised in the Book of Revelations. Let everyone work to that goal.
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Deo Gratias. Gloria Tibi Domini. Praise be to God. See you in Paradise. Amen.
