The Pearl
It started its life
Not by vice or strife
A small morsel of sand
A tiny piece of dry land
One day carried off by a bird
In their gullet it’s needed like letters for a word
Soon it is given up into a river clear
One by an ocean quite near
The minuscule pebble falls deeper and deeper
Soon taken in by a young little oyster
Days weeks months years go by
The oyster is grabbed and taken to die
But the diver he discovers a find
The pearl in this creature just rattled his mind
So beautiful gigantic and unique
This treasure he must sell and not keep
He finds a merchant the very next day
Handsomely is this fellow willing to pay
For what this merchant did truly discover
Was this is the most unique pearl ever
For this is his key to an extraordinary experience
Not unlike what our Lord Jesus has offered us
Though our cost is not expensive
There is a cost our will so that we may live
Live forever with the greatest living treasure
Our Lord Jesus Christ nothing else comes close to measure
For He is the Pearl extraordinaire
The life eternal giver
Amen
