Dear Pope Francis, what about Russian persecution of Eastern Catholics?
So, a lot of times (not always) these articles just come from me randomly opening my Bible and seeing something that I want to write about.

So, I was looking at Matthew 10:26-33, and thinking about how some Christians will claim the name “Christian” and then act in a way that isn’t Christian.
Let’s read the text, (This is from the thankfully copyright free Douay Rheims) “Therefore, fear them not. For nothing is covered that shall not be revealed; nor hid, that shall not be known.
That which I tell you in the dark, speak ye in the light, and that which you hear in the ear, preach ye upon the housetops.
And fear ye not them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall on the ground with your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Far not therefore: better are you than many sparrows.
Everyone therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.
But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my father who is in heaven.
But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who in heaven.”
Yet, alleged Christians will say,
“I’m Christian, but”…
“I support transgenderism”
“I support gay marriage”
“I support baby murder”
They may not use those terms, but that’s what it amounts to.
Of course, you can go too far on the other side, with that, too. Just as there are far left “Christians”, there are far right “Christians”.
Why proclaim yourself a Christian, if you do not want to live as one? If you support the position, “I can be Christian, and support x immoral thing”.
Then why call ourselves Christian?
I think these people honour God with their lips (Matthew 15:8-9), but their hearts are far from him.
But why is that? Why do we decide that believing what pop culture tells us is good, is, well, good?
I think a lot of people are practical atheists. They claim belief in God, but act as if though he doesn’t exist.
They worship a God of their own image.
