54-Day Rosary Novena Opportunities for Remaining of 2024

Originating in the late 19th century in Naples, Italy, the 54-Day Novena is attributed to a young girl suffering from an illness thought to be incurable. Calling on Mary for help, Mary appeared to her and promised her healing if she prayed three novenas. The girl did so and was miraculously healed. In a later apparition, Mary specified that the full prayer should have 3 novenas in petition and 3 novenas in thanksgiving.

It is hard to believe that 2024 is going quickly. Many of us are still getting through summer. Children are enjoying the many days left before going back to the pursuit of knowledge. Some families want to get in a last-minute getaway before the school year begins.

Many devotees of the rosary look forward to taking part in praying the 54-day rosary novena until the beginning of 2025.

It can also be prayed on the day of a Marian feast or the days leading up to one.  For example, August is a popular time for many to take part in it from the Feast of the Assumption to the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (October 7th).

November 1st is All Saints Day. It also marks the 54-day stretch until Christmas. A good way to prepare for Christ to come into one’s heart and a great spiritual pregame before Advent.

54-Day Rosary Novena for Our Nation

With the 2024 election approaching in less than 3 months, many Catholics can take part in the rosary devotion. The election is held on Tuesday, November 5th. The start date is September 12th.

Immaculate Conception

The day when St. Anne conceived Mary is another suggestion to pray. It begins on October 15th, the feast of St. Teresa of Avila.

Our Lady of Guadalupe

The feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe falls on December 12th. The start point is October 19th during the leap year. When praying it on other years, the start date is October 18th.

Rosary to End the Year

If beginning on November 8th, 2024, it can lead to the beginning of 2025 which is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and the conclusion of the Christmas Octave.
