Lying isn't wise

I need to talk a break from watching POWs in Ukraine, and this guy just straight up seems like an old school communist (ZOLKIN IS BACK! New interview with new occupiers | War in Ukraine | When is the truce?).

No matter how much this guy is shown to be wrong, he still will not concede he's wrong.  (And Crimea is Ukraine, Crimea is Ukraine, in Ukrainian)

There are some people who miss the USSR.  These people are what I like to call “delusional” Now, I’ve spoken against lying before.  And I am trying to decide whether or not this man is lying

If he’s not lying, I feel like he takes joy in wanting Ukrainians to die and Ukraine ceasing to exist.  Ahh yes, "Ukraine will be a nuclear swamp" (I'm sure that's what your vatnik friend wants)

(And, for the record, all countries have changed borders).  But, assuming he is a liar, he isn’t very wise.

This man, assuming he is lying, and not just ill-formed, is arrogant.  Instead of living in reality, he chooses to live in his own reality.
