The Invitation

A wedding invitation came today

Let me open it to see on which day

I think I am available

My schedule’s somewhat reliable

I’ll check with my boss to see if it’s okay

And still have plenty of time to RSVP

Oh no two weeks till the partying forgot now I can’t go

Well it should be fine plenty more will show

Well my behavior it was quite wrong and definitely not right

I will forever be banished from my friend because of the mistake that night

His Wedding was to be stupendous

The guest list amazingly tremendous

But only a few came and if not dressed proper

Out on your ear you show stopper

For this invitation was and is to our Lord’s Ceremony

The wedding is our entrance to eternity

The Wedding for eternal bliss and joy

We The Church to our Lord forever eternally
