Taking Up the Cup of Salvation
In this year of the Eucharist, emphasis has been place upon the Holy Eucharist: The precious Body and Blood of the Risen Lord. We all know that this Eucharist we receive is His Living Sacrifice of Love given for us in remembrance of Him. We believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharistic Host, not just a symbol.
Let us also remember that Jesus is the LIVING WORD come to this earth for our salvation. So, let us connect that truth, and Eat or digest the Living Word, Jesus our Lord.
Let us not just Hear His Words, but read them out loud too!! For this is how we take the Word into our mouths.
All that He spoke to the prophets and through Jesus and His apostles that are found in the Bible. We are to 'digest that Word, for Jesus to be alive in us.
To be truly alive in our faith, let us ACT like God is with us always. Let us incorporate in our lives-- the Word of God--"let not your heart be discouraged," or; "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."
There are over 8000 of promises from God in the Bible! 8000! These promises are found throughout the Old and New Testaments and cover a wide range of topics, providing assurance for all who Believe in God, the Father, the ALMIGHTY!!!
The question is, what do you truly believe, when you read or hear the Word of God?
Maybe, we should define that word ----BELIEVE. Believe, to know that something is a FACT, TRUE!!!
Jesus tells us, "If you believe, you too can do what I did and even greater!"
Healing the sick, and some have even brought life back to a dead person.
Do we really believe we can do what Jesus did? Move a mountain or whatever blocks our paths to love if we speak to it?
Why are we then not acting like we believe in all the promises of God and having them planted deep in our hearts, so we become FRUITFUL with the gifts of the Holy Spirit: in all of our lives. So let us digest---to take into our mouths, (so speak that Word) and let the Word of God or Jesus enter into every cell of our mind, body and whole being.
Begin today! Open that Bible and be in the very Presence of God as He promises---"I am with you always!"
