The Wise and the Foolish

The wise and the foolish have come out to play

This will be an interesting day

For the wise will be prepared and always ready

The foolish seemingly falling apart, and in all terribly tardy

A time will come when all will be required

The wise will be there their brows wet and perspired

But the foolish will be nowhere to be seen

Remember their timing is never very keen

Our Lord has spoken and told us to emulate and be as the wise

Be not as the fools who must get by with lies

For on judgment day for the wise

Nary a hair raising exclamation or surprise

Ahhh, but for the fools things will not be so grand and good

They will end up with the Devil unfortunately as a fool should
