Do No Harm
Fishing
There’s nothing like an early summer’s morn
The sky burnt orange here comes the dawn
The lake water is a smooth blue glass
Until the biting bugs begin to land to drink suddenly a splash
The trout have awakened from their slumber
Time now to eat as they arise from down under
The bugs aren’t the only thing splashing
The fisherman were already keenly awaiting
Soon their flies have filled their nets
They know how to do it preparation and execution wins their bets
So too with us who are also expected to fish
Not for those that swim but those that dream and wish
Our Lord laid out the plan for us to evangelize
Now it’s time we try every morning after we arise
Pray for guidance help and strength
To spread our Lord’s Words over every breadth and length
To not do this will be your dismay
Because you run the risk of not being with Jesus in Heaven one day
Amen
