Three Monkeys

I know you have seen or heard of the pictures of the three monkeys who have their eyes, ears, and mouth covered. Hear no evil speak no evil and see no evil. These three actions are sentiments and are actually quite good incentives for us as Catholic children of God. So many snares are out there waiting for us to follow the evil ones prompt to destroy our souls and help us in killing our chances for eternal Paradise. The TV shows, media, songs on the radio, evil gossip, judgment on others, are just a few examples of how the snares of the evil one and his followers can trap us into making bad choices that lead us into Hells open door. It would be wise for us to think of the three monkeys on our daily Trek through life, considering the thoughts that there is no one in Heaven that would see, speak or hear evil. These three monkeys are doing what is right. 

     We become monkeys when we ape what the world is trying to present to us in all its glory all its forms of evil. We substitute satisfaction for reality, lies for truth and self-reliance for God's omnipotence and guidance. 

     The world teaches us and our children how to be skinny and wealthy by buying drugs and things that will change our appearance and diminishing pleasures to be happy and content. Unless there are good and holy adults to direct our babies on God's holy statutes , will there be ever have a hopeful and productive future 

     How can one be for family if they are for abortion? How can the problem of homeless people be solved if we give all of our money to self gratification. How can the problem of hunger be quenched if we are negligent about how much food we consume and then throw away? 

     Yes, I believe we are in trouble and pray the three monkeys help us discover a new way of thinking. Turning our eyes, ears and mouths away from neglect, pride and judgment and consider to look, seek and proclaim the word of God , living by the promises that we will all be judged on our generosity, empathy and love for each other.
