The Wise
A wise man once told me to pray
If you want something grand wait a day
Ask The Lord and He’ll let you know
If it’s something to keep or to just drop and let go
There is much to be said about having patience
And its companion the wonderful virtue temperance
Waiting is oft said to be angelic and Holy
Wanting and desiring no not really
On this earth we have been placed
To love each other not fight and be disgraced
So like our Lord Who prayed for His Apostles
So too should we before we make choices
Ask the Spirit the Holy Ghost indeed
His answer you really should heed
For His Role is to show you what’s needed
For you to stay on a path that at times had not even been weeded
But will get you to where you want to be
Yes up in Heaven with the Blessed Trinity
With the Spirit Jesus and the Heavenly Father
Your other option is decidedly darker
