In the Lord I am now freed from death as my sins have become his.
God’s Plan for his creatures!
It may be difficult for some of his children to believe that God, from before any of us were created, to already have had a plan that involved the road each of us would travel. Yet, he not only devised this plan, he took time (although with God there is no time and space in eternity) to have a direction each of us would be sent out amidst this world he created for us.
“The word of the Lord came to me thus: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.” “Ah Lord God!” I said, “I know not how to speak; I am too young.” (Jer 1: 4 - 6).
There's a certain obligation that will accompany this plan God has devised; It is to willingly accept this call, not just for Jeramiah but for each of us as well. Here is a realistic theory we need to be aware of, which may become a problem if our acceptance stubbornly stands in the way. We cannot and should not tell God what he has ordained does not fit my own plans for a future.
Think for a moment about this scenario that may include your own plans for meeting with a friend or relative and they decide, after reservations were already made, to cancel at the last moment. As usual you may become incensed and find reason to begin a method of getting even and in some cases find a reason to hate this person. “Who do they think they are to refuse my plans for a good evening out and insult me with their refusal?”
My opinion goes deeper than personal adherence to this very common adverse manner of too many people when they feel hurt by someone close to them. We see far too much resentment among good-meaning people who seem to have lost their way with the essence of hate. Imagine if God used the same approach when any of us rejected his plans which places us in the driver seat for his kingdom. Although God cannot hate! That would be a contradiction to who he is. One thing God cannot do is contradict himself. That would require a change of mind, and God doesn’t make mistakes.
I have seen one person who is so wrapped up in politics that their friends and relatives whose choice of candidates for anything has created a rampart that resembles hate at its greatest impact. This person is even asking God to tear down these people to the point of removing any blessings on them. Hatred will become the most insidious manner of hurting themselves. One word of caution is that the one who will be destroyed is the hater. Along with hatred goes unforgiveness which goes completely against God’s Plan and may block his forgiveness to the one who will not show mercy.
“If you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.” (Mt 6:14 - 15).
God’s Plan begins with our forgiveness of our enemies! The real enemy becomes us!
