WHAT'S UP GOD!
Hello you!!!
I woke up this morning with a very strange dream of two toddlers jumping or falling out of something into sky—and falling and falling waiting to open their parachute. One loses her knit hat and gets it back and it is like I am there to help tie it on so her ears don’t freeze in the high atmosphere. I know there is a significant meaning to seeing children fall but never hit the ground. I believe it is watching your children live their lives after they leave the nest. Fly child fly—enjoy the air around you and the sights you will see.
Of course this is Mother’s Day, and later that thought brought a moment of sadness to me as I felt---‘some mother—what kind of life have I given to my children?’
Oh come on now ---as parents we all have these thoughts and feelings as we watch our children as they leave to live lives of their own. We see them make mistakes; we see them choose paths that we hope they grow weary of walking on. So, please don’t instantly say “Oh you are a great Mom!”
We are all great parents doing the best we can in the circumstances of life—but sometimes best is not enough and that is where our Faith comes in. Faith that tells us that no matter what happens in life to us—to them---all the pieces and details come together to bring about the fulfillment of our “individual plan” for why we are here in this world.
I am not seeking sympathy or affirmation---God sends these dreams, and these feelings as gifts. As we know, Gifts of wisdom and insight are to be shared---for He knows that ‘ALL OF HIS CHILDREN’ struggle with similar emotions and doubts. So, His gift to me this morning become His gift to all who are ‘parents’ today on Mother’s day.
“Ya did good—people ya did good!! You gave them life and you gave them love—and sometimes you made mistakes. Sometimes when tired and frustrated you hollered and hurt their feelings or maybe you didn’t have time for them---but know this—they are always on your mind and in your hearts and prayers still!! Children are a part of us forever---just as we are a part of God forever! Always in His thoughts and heart ---and the Blessed Mother’s too!! Blessed day to all and Peace be with you!
I have to add a PS here to all those who are not parents. When you love, whoever you love ----you are a part of the whole plan of raising ‘the children of God’ here on this earth. So do NOT feel useless, left out and unfulfilled. We are in this ‘free-fall of life’ together, and sometimes WE envy your freedom and lifestyle A LOT!!! Thank you for being our friends and support system!
