The Cross Remembered

Jesus died so we could live

His life did He freely give

Moses was born to also save

But upon his death silence no rave

Moses never returned

But The Son of God did for our reward

For if He did not do this task for us

Our lives become almost meaningless

For what would come if that was the end

No one to judge or to recommend

No hope no trust no love

No Hell below or Heaven above

But rise He did and slay that snake

All for His Father and our sake

We remember today your ordeal on The Cross

Without which this life would be a loss
