Technology and me
I just got done watching the new movie on Netflix called "Unsung hero" . When you start watching, you see Joel Smallbone's interpretation of life of how he knew it when he was growing up. His father, making his wealth managing people in music comes crashing down to ashes. Wealthy and a growing family one day, and the next is set aside to have to start from the bottom of the barrel. Even to the point of having to uproot his family from Australia to move to America, setting his sights on Nashville where he claims that's where the music is.. His beautiful wife, Helen, all the while scared, and with a new diagnosis of pregnancy again, is the strengthening force in the power of God. Believing, though scared, she never gives up on him or her family or God. She recognizes the miracles taking place and to have to carry so many children and even sometimes her husband to the great light of Hope.
So inspiring and heartwarming is the love for each other. Husband and wife, sibling to sibling ,to mother and father. Allowing his pride,(the father )to step aside, he lets God take over and it shows what happens when you put God in control. There are miracles.
There will be very rough times but we obtain Grace when we love each other and forge forward with total surrender. Sometimes that's impossible, when the other person isn't willing, but that doesn't mean you can't silently still love them. We forge forward with total surrender. In the hope that God will be our strength and our fortress even when no one else believes in us. It's hard to love from a distance but possible. I've had to do it many times, and still am. But God comforts me in the knowledge and the hope that someday they will see and understand the wastefulness of time spent apart. Pride plays a part in so many aspects of our life. If only we could realize sooner rather than later the "power of God.".
Just like that sweet family , I forge forward with total surrender. This Australian family is just one example of the "power of God".. No amount of money or fame can match our merciful God in the riches and peace He bestows on those who believe and trust in Him. It's too bad our media is so full of discouragement and lies to the point of promoting fear and mistrust, instead of seeking the multitudes of good that is happening every day at every moment. We need to seek out the good and let the bad taste of trials and mistrust be rinsed away from our mouths and our hearts .We need to seek out the "power of God" the Mighty and everlasting God.
Oh by the way, if you haven't ever heard of "for King & Country", the Christian brothers duo,, or their sister, Rebecca St. James, please give them a lsten. They're wonderful!
