Do the condemned burn in Hell?
Becoming That Inner Thinner You
Being overweight can not only affect our health, but it can also wreak havoc on our self-esteem. Many attempts to lose weight, however often fail. Therefore, I would like to target some of the handicaps that many have faced in an attempt to lose weight and keep it off.
Note: Some of the following information was published online through the LIVESTRONG website.
It is also interesting to note that back in the 1800s and earlier, it was desirable to be a bit plump in our composition as it was a sign of wealth, and living a comfortable life. There were pills that some overweight individuals took, and they were called fat reducers. But those pills produced side effects that included abnormal heartbeats, high blood pressure, and an increased heart rate.
The 1930s brought a new drug known as dinitrophenol that was introduced for weight loss. This drug eventually was associated with deaths due to hyperthermia, as well as a loss of taste, and eye cataracts. The Food and Drug Administration began to take more control over these types of drugs, and dinitrophenol was banned in the United States.
Into the mid-1950s came amphetamines, the new drug of choice. This stimulant was given to soldiers during World War 11 to keep them awake and alert. This new drug caused loss of appetite and unwanted weight loss. Needless to say, the adverse neurological and psychological effects proved to be more significant than any value it could provide. Another drug at about the same time was aminorex fumarate. This drug was shown to cause pulmonary hypertension in many people; thus, it was withdrawn from the market in 1968.
Although we could see more of these dangerous drugs, suffice it to say that the best way to weight loss is to understand the causes and address them through nutrition and a lifestyle that is both comfortable and consistent with us personally.
Fact; Science Daily, a source for the latest research news, reported in Science News on February 20, 2017, in summary that around 35-40 percent of a child’s BMI (Body Mass Index) – how fat or thin they are – is inherited from their parent, according to their Study. Those findings were published in the journal Economics and Human Biology.

Dr. Phil, Host and TV personality ty of The Dr. Phil Show with 17 seasons, 20,000 guests, and 3,000 episodes has always claimed to have come from a family of obese heritage. He admits that maintaining a healthy weight has always been a struggle requiring healthy changes in his diet and lifestyle.
More recently, Dr. Phil took the My Heritage DNA test to learn more about his health risks.
If we can understand and accept that drugs are not a cure for being overweight, or obese, and we now know that we may have been born with more fat genes inherited from our parents than our contemporaries, what might we begin to realize may be the solution to attaining our goal of reaching a healthy weight?
From my studies and professional experience as a Nutritional Consultant, and personally, due to an inflammatory condition known as celiac disease, I have found how the natural way to health results in what else, a healthier person.
My Tips
1. After your evening meal, floss, brush your teeth, and fast for 10 to 12 hours.
Caution: diabetics, and anyone with health issues, discuss this tip with your doctor.
2. Because red meat is highly acidic, and often high in fat content, and some of which is highly processed, or smoked, it is best to choose plant protein, fish, or chicken for your daily protein. For seniors: Anyone who suffers from kidney disease also cannot tolerate too much protein as it places a burden upon the kidneys.
3. Salt (Sodium chloride) This is a chemical, excess Sodium intake can increase blood pressure, this is often triggered by excess water retention. Ms. Dash makes Shakers such as Lemon/Pepper that make a healthier choice.
4. Antioxidants – These help to target and make harmless carcinogens found in the human body. Some of the best antioxidants are found in fruits and vegetables such as; carrots, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, blueberries, and more. Make vegetables the biggest part of your meals. After boiling, take the next step to health and taste by pan frying in a tablespoon of extra virgin oil with a bit of garlic, onions, basil, parsley, and celery and top with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Include a salad.
5. Refined white sugar, causes weight gain, contributes to an overly acidic internal environment, and must be avoided. Try Monk fruit powder (without other additives), or honey and use smaller amounts.
6. Limit alcohol, 2-3 glasses of wine is fine.
7. A Healthier Lifestyle must include a routine of exercise. Select something you like to do such as; walking the dog, riding your stationary bike, or going to the gym. This does require consistency. 4 to 5 times a week for about 40 minutes is good.
8. Emotional Counseling may be warranted for those individuals who lack confidence, are lonely, and seek satisfaction through food. Some women have been raped, sexually abused, and purposely gain weight to avoid attention from predators. Emotional issues might be addressed through a professional Counselor. Note: Do not, I repeat, do not expect a miracle transition in 30 days, but relax and continue as this is not a diet, but a healthier way of life. In one year, the new you will begin to emerge. 9. God has told us that “Gluttony” is a sin. He provided many fresh herbs and vegetables for our food and our medicine. In following Jesus’ lead we know that He worked with His stepfather as a Carpenter, walked many miles each day, and certainly did not overindulge in food.
