The Sign of Jonah

Terrified because he thought he had done no wrong

Now all are after him an angry throng

Die they say he must

For this spell of trouble to bust

Captured in a dark fishy dungeon cold and dank

To the bottom away he sank

Pray he did that somehow he’d be saved

Knowing outside of this was rage

Three days later he emerged

From the depths was he truly purged

To save not only a nation

To save not only a whole generation

He prophesied about ordeal and the Lord

Listen he said to His Word

The people did and were swayed

By Jonah’s words were they saved

So should we and witness too

That what Jonah did Jesus also

Died and rose Jesus did for us all to end our troubles

Erasing death he now asks us to preach His Good News to others

And to do our best to do His Will

And end our misbehaving and being a pill

Amen
