WARNING, WARNING!
 

Recently we have been saturated with weather warnings, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and other weather alerts. But how many of us know that God and his mother have been sending us warnings about what is to come if we do not repent of our sin and turn back to God? There have been supernatural warnings dating back 500 years and have been repeated to many  in each century.

In the 1500s, St. Edmond Campion, a Jesuit martyr in Britan wrote,

            “I pronounced a great day, not wherein any temporal potentate should minister, but wherein a Terrible Judge should reveal all men’s consciences and try very man of each religion. This is the day of change….”

This isn’t going to effect Catholics alone but all people of all faiths or no faith. This is just one of several revelations about a day on which we will all get to see what we have done and what we have failed to do. More recent and credible prophecies add some additional detail. Blessed Anna Maria Taigi of Italy (1769-1837) shared,

            “A great purification will come upon the world preceded by an illumination of conscience in which everyone will see themselves as God sees them.”

That would indeed be a great grace to know clearly what I still need to repent for and make reparation for before I die. God is merciful even when we don’t deserve it!

In about the same time period Pope Saint Pius X, also had a vision.

            “There will come a great wonder, which will fill the world with astonishment. This wonder will be preceded by the triumph of revolution. The Church will suffer exceedingly. Her servants and chieftains will be mocked and scourged and martyred.”

Did this occur when the Russian Revolution took place in 1917? Or is there more to come? Certainly, we can see that the church is under attack around the world. Some endure assault and other battles are fought in the courts.

Let those who have eyes to see and those who have ears to hear, let them note the signs of the times!

More familiar to Catholics today is St. Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938). She is the Apostle of Divine Mercy and was given a message from Jesus Christ concerning the universal illumination of conscience. She wrote in her diary,

Before I come as the Just Judge, I come as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, this sign in the sky will be given to mankind. All the light in the sky will be extinguished and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky and from the holes where the hands and feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth a brilliant light, which will illuminate the earth for a period of time. This will take place before the last day.” (Diary entry Aug. 2,1934)

The 3 seers in Garabandal, Spain reported nearly the same thing in 1965.

Father Gobbi, priest, mystic and Founder of the Marian Movement for Priests received a message on May 22,1994, the Feast of Pentecost.

“A new fire will come down from Heaven and will purify all humanity which has again become pagan. It will be a judgement…and each one will see himself in the light of the truth of God.”

Servant of God, Maria Esperanza of Betania (1976-1990) a seer wrote,” The consciences of the beloved people must be violently shaken so that they may Put their houses in order and offer to Jesus reparation for their daily infidelities.”

I have chosen these few to quote because they have credible standing in the Church as a Saint or on their way to canonization as either Servant of God, Venerable, Blessed or Saint. Many other mystics have written that there will be an illumination of Conscience. This will be a profound experience in one’s life. Mother Mary announced to more than one seer that the Time of Mercy has ended and the Time of Judgement approaches. People have not returned to the ways of God. But one last act of our Loving Father is to gift us with this illumination to permit us time to repent or not and to choose Jesus or Satan. There will come a cleansing of the evils on the earth.

Even if you are not inclined to believe private revelations, and we are not obliged to, it is still in our best interest to examine ourselves and get to confession. Who knows tomorrow may be the day of judgement. Jesus said we wouldn’t know the day nor the hour when he will return. Many already think that we are living in the End Times.

On Oct. 17,2024 A movie called” The Warning” which is based on a book of the same title by Christian Watkins will debut in selected theatres. Those who have already seen it  were deeply moved and many rushed out to confession. Someone suggested they should have priests set up in the parking lot to hear confessions after the movie! That WOULD be something!
