Give It Up

Redemptive suffering

Willingly and loving

Offering your pain for others

To our Lord the Sufferer of sufferers

No pain prevention

A link added to my chain to salvation

Wondering never why

For I know there are those far worse off than I

No special curing

Simply just an offering

As He did on that cross where He died

Our wrongs and failures reconciled

For now I too must bide my time

In prayer and silence like a mime

I must offer my pain and sorrow

For these who truly suffer I must not cower

I must stand tried and true

Remembering why this task I do

For those who suffer immensely

For them my pain I give in His Name gladly
