Do we have the permission to look at God in a personal way?
Repent; Save yourselves from the Wrath to come!
A theme that has confronted mankind since the days of Noah. Although the scriptures do not tell us of the warnings to those who were unbelievers of God, their careful viewing of the ark’s construction certainly gave them a look into the future that promised their own demise for not adhering to God. This should have been enough to awaken man’s curiosity to repent and follow Noah’s enterprising spirit. (Gn 6 - 8).
In spite of God saying; “Never again will I doom the earth because of man, since the desires of man’s heart are evil from the start, nor will I ever again strike down all living beings, as I have done.” (Gn 8: 21). Move ahead to the warnings to Sodom and Gomorrah and because their sins reached the presence of God. The Lord reflected: “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, now that he is to become a great and populous nation, and all the nations of the earth are to find blessing in him?
“Then the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great, and their sin so grave, that I must go down and see whether or not their actions fully correspond to the cry against them that comes to me. I mean to find out.” While the two men walked on farther toward Sodom, the Lord remained standing before Abraham. Then Abraham drew nearer to him and said: “Will you sweep away the innocent with the guilty? Suppose there were fifty innocent people in the city; would you wipe out the place for the sake of fifty innocent people within it.”The inclination of these discussions of Abraham to the Lord continued until it reached with Abraham asking this one last time; “Please let not my Lord grow angry if I speak up this last time. What if there are at last ten there?” “For the sake of those ten,” he replied, “I will not destroy it.” (Gn 18: 20 - 32).
In both of these incidents and many more found in scripture the citizens of these nations knew that something evil was about to come upon them for their reluctance to find and seek comfort of forgiveness from God. This brings us to the 21st century and we still have prophets warning the back-sliders of modern society that it may not be too far from us that God’s Wrath is about to unleash the days of the Tribulation recorded in the Book of Revelation.
Will God find at least ten innocent people that he will relent in their destruction. We might say, “There must be at least ten innocent people left in all the earth.” After the Rapture the Church will have been raised to heaven and those left will be on their own.
A negative response from far too many might be, “O we’ve heard these shouts that the end may be closer than anyone thinks and unless each one has a change of heart turning away from the evil of New-age philosophies that promises to catch many in a net, as we catch fish, and the end will be too gruesome to even write about.” Who will believe it?
Around the world many nations either have or will procure nuclear weapons that might very well be the Armageddon we have all heard about. One slip from just one evil induced leader will be all that is needed to unleash a war no one could end; The symbolism John viewed in chapter 16 comes to fruition: “They then assembled the kings in the place that is named Armageddon in Hebrew.” A loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It is Done.” Then there were lightning flashes, rumblings, and peals of thunder, and a great earthquake. It was such a violent earthquake that there has never been one like it since the human race began on earth. (Rv 16: 17 - 21). Herein is the description of the terrible events that will tear apart the planet and the remaining people led by the last kings of humanity. Pray that you would be one of those in the Rapture.
This is the prophecy from all those who are ringing out the warning of the 21st century. Listen and behold the words of Christ: “For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will be.” (Mt 24: 21). Listen and absorb the meaning of Repentance.
