What to look for in a wife or husband
“And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightaway left their nets, and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee, their father, mending their nets; and he called them. And them immediately left their ship and their father, and followed him”.

Before we get started, be sure to check out my latest on Locals, this week, we talk about the dreaded "t" word, tradition; The dreaded "T" word
How willing are you to step outside of your comfort zone?
How willing are you to leave what you’re doing “immediately” to follow Jesus?
Hopefully, you’re already following Jesus.
If you’re reading this article, you know two things 1) I’m a Papist that loves the Bible 2) I really want you to know The Bible.
And my last minute articles are often fairly short (didn’t have access to a computer).
But, think about the fact that James and John left their father (in fact, we have another places where Jesus tells us that we have to love Jesus MORE than our family and even our own lives, “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me” Matthew 10:37, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sister, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple, Luke 14:26, and just in case people think Jesus is telling us that we have to hate parents, nope, Matthew 18:19, I’ve read that Jesus is using Jewish hyperbole with the word “hate”, but I don’t know enough about it).
Are you willing to leave your comfort zone? To leave those whom you love to follow Jesus? To love Jesus even more than those?
