TRAGEDY AND FAITH
The election is rapidly approaching, and your role as Catholic voters is more crucial than ever. Candidates are pulling out all stops to garner more support. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris and the networks who back her are attempting to manipulate those voters still on the fence by misrepresenting the truth about a variety of topics, including abortion. Harris and ABC, during the biased debate, attacked Donald Trump’s claim that Democrats, including Harris, support no gestational limits. If they had fact-checked his claim, they would have found there are nine states and Washington, D.C., that have no limits, and late-term abortions do happen.
The Guttmacher Institute's estimate of over 9,000 abortions occurring in the 21st week or later in 2023 is staggering. This means that on an average day, between 24 and 25 abortions in the 21st week or later take place in the United States. And let’s not overlook the fact that Democrats obstructed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
Five Non-Negotiable Issues for Catholic voters are fundamental to our faith and moral values. Abortion is number one on the list. It is a serious sin to deliberately endorse or promote abortion or the other four issues (Euthanasia, Embryonic Stem Cell Research, Human Cloning, and Homosexual Marriage).
Let’s not follow the examples of so-called Catholics in public office (Biden and Pelosi come to mind) who pick and choose what part of the faith to follow, like they're in a cafeteria selecting only the parts they like. Our church is not cafeteria-style. It’s all or nothing. I don’t know about you, but I choose ALL.
