Believe
I have just read an article called " try ,fail, and surrender". It was so interesting! It spoke the truth. And I want to comment on the fact that it is true. We all must try. We all fail at one time or another, but ultimately we must then surrender. When our trying and failing is accomplished by what we set it out to be God's Holy Will takes hold, therefore allowing us to surrender to Him who is the only thing left for us to rely on. Me, being a fixer, (in my own mind of course), always at least tries. Sometimes to the point of devastation in not accomplishing what I set out to do. Many times failing. Only to realize that I should have surrendered much more sooner than I did. It takes great humility to surrender. Our pride is strong. To admit we were wrong in trying to handle it all by ourselves we often succumb to the harsh realization, that we don't always know what we're doing. The bigger quest is the surrendering. Our pride is a great obstacle in achieving surrender. Who do we really think we are? We did not create ourselves. God did. So therefore, in creating us, we should honor the Kingship of Him who is perfect.
His love for us and all things is undeniable. And in His most precious gentleness and mercy has given us the right to choose. Even if it means choosing failure. Immediately, picking us up from the ground we have fallen on. His patience in our failings is forever. But we must admit it and allow Him to reign in our hearts and minds and lead us like children down the path, straight to heaven.
We are only strong in our resignation to His Holy Will. We must depend on a papa who knows what's best for us. Suffering, trials, pain and heartaches are all part of us as humans. Not a single human being can escape it. So why do we try so hard to?
Because It hurts. It hurts to suffer pain. It hurts our pride with embarrassment. Our quest in being strong can weaken us ultimately in our desire for achievement. Seeking recognition and fame on anything is a sign of our weakness. We're supposed to do everything in great secret. In great silence. Relying that God is watching and will reward our efforts and make those the treasures of Heaven.
No matter how many medals an Olympic athlete wins, or how many touchdowns a team may score, or how many Oscars an actor may hold, there will always be someone who will achieve more. Our desire to be noted on this Earth means nothing if our souls aren't pure of sin. Our strength relies on our giving God the God of Glory, always and forever and letting all know that without the power of God's will we would not be who we are today, calling ourselves His children and giving him the glory.
Let us be His children. Not telling Him what to do, but asking Him to guide us and show us the way. Trying, failing and surrendering.
