A poem on the Holy Face of Jesus
I choose Saved. Because there is "true" happiness in being saved. Happiness lies in the eyes of the beholder. No amount of happiness in money or power or the things of this world means nothing if your soul is not saved. Saved by the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ who died for us and for our salvation. How many times have we heard stories of millionaires who have died and left this world with nothing, not even their money. Money cannot buy happiness. Power cannot buy happiness. It could surely make us need for nothing if it is our main goal. But in the end it is not real happiness. Jesus Christ Himself says, "what good is it for men to gain the whole world but lose his soul" We have heard plenty of stories about our friends, the Saints, who suffered greatly, only to have their happiness in suffering because they were saved. Don't get me wrong. Suffering is pain and pain hurts. But with the right mindset, suffering can be sweet. Sweet with the thought that our Jesus is with us at every moment. That is what being saved means to me.
Mary's happiness was pierced by a sort of sorrow so deep it penetrated Her own heart. Fulfilling all possibility of happiness for a world needing to be saved. Ironically, there is happiness in being saved. But we must be saved first to attain this happiness. There will be no perfect happiness unless there is Heaven and Heaven can only be if we are saved.
Knock, Ask and Seek for the happiness in being saved. For there is true happiness awaiting "Us" in Heaven by our Holy God who saved us dying on that cross, truly because He is our Father. Our saving Father.
Choose wisely.
