Pay Attention to God Speaking Through Your Spouse
I am 77 years old now and every day find each step a little harder to take as I travel down life‘s road. Like that old car, I rattle as I go, crickity crack crack with a noisy exhaust system, a leaky radiator, and more wrinkled and dented. Older people all can relate to the hidden stigmta of aches and pains as we carry our cross, walking in His footsteps.
As I age too, I think more about the "Here After" for every time I go into another room, I wonder, "what I am here after?"
But this aging process, is a time of purification, of disciplining, chastising. God is making sure that when we do travel to the end of our journey, we go home to eternity with Him. He knows what He is doing. We too, are paying the price of our choices too!
But back to life can be aggravating--yes it can! Why all you have to do is listen to the news, or read the headlines or see, silly advertisements on television, or also those new television shows! The media is making it more and more obvious that the people of the world want their way, not God’s way anymore. "We have our right to say and do what we WANT!" Yes they do, because God gave them that free will to choose to do right or wrong
WE all must see why we suffer! As for me, I have to daily choose to do right or wrong and what "god" am I serving today? When I’m bored, frustrated, aggravated, etc. well that food is a comfort 'god' to me. So, I steadily gain weight. My bones, and joints--trust me--are not happy carrying that weight around all day.
The thought just occurred to me maybe I’m wanting to slow my body down so I don’t get to the end of the journey so quick . No I don’t think that’s the reason.
I know the reason, for just like God I am angry, frustrated and sad as I see what people are doing! How they are turning their backs on ! After all that God has done for us, society has wanted more, and sought more! He has told us that these choice will keep us from entering into His Promise land or live with Him His Kingdom eteranlly. Starting today, we must choose to follow His Way, live His Words and be one in His love--now--today.
Our journey can end at any moment of any day, and the time of His coming back is sooner with each second that passes. We want our journey to end, like it began, one with God in paradise in His Kingdom here forever on earth. I sure do, so stay with Me, God--I need you!
