Hail! Queen of Heaven
I haven't had that much experience with the medical field until recently. When my little Carolyn had to go into the hospital and ultimately a nursing home. As I walked into these places (hospitals and hospital rooms), I noticed all the dedicated nurses that gave unconditionally and devotedly to their profession. So caring and loving to their patients. It really did amaze me that they are a different breed. Different from doctors or even family members. No matter the job, they were quick to respond to the needs of their patients and/or residents.
I'm giving a big virtual hug to all the men and women who are nurses. Your jobs are never or should never be considered menial. You are so important. Thank you for your dedication to other human beings who need a friendly, warm face to look at when in so much pain or worry, that is produced by emergency visits or needed procedures. Thank you for the times you stayed late, holding someone's hand, or making sure the questions were answered, even though your family was waiting for you.
Thank you for the comfort you provide when we feel confused or scared. The oath that you declared on the day of your graduation, "to serve others with compassion and skill" has not gone unseen.
We depend on you so much. It's a great load to carry I'm sure. But your empathy for others will never go on rewarded. I thank you with all of my heart and pray God will bless you all the days of your lives.
