Open Letter to Bishop O'Connell of Trenton
Back on 11/19/13, I wrote to then Bucks County Register of Wills Donald Petrille, Jr, to applaud his efforts to uphold Pennsylvania marriage law.

Dear Mr. Petrille:
Unlike Commissioner Diane Marseglia and the Courier Times <http://www.buckscountycouriertimes.com/opinion/editorial/let-the-state-pay-the-bills/article_bc82e027-64a9-5d5b-8523-d8b9084c2023.html>, I support your efforts to do your job and to uphold the law.
Sincerely,Joseph TevingtonMorrisville
Though I had cc'd her, I was still surprised to receive a same day email response from Bucks County, Commissioner Diane Marseglia, LCSW, who corrected me: "all three commissioners said NO."
Without the Bucks County Commissioners choosing to back his defense, the three commissioners effectively immobilized the Register of Wills' efforts to uphold marriage.
Despite his heroic pro life dad and his own claims to be pro life, U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr, was highly critical of his opponent Dave McCormick's's anti abortion position. Casey has been getting assistance in his recount efforts against McCormick from a familiar source. The Bucks County commissioner/ social worker is back:
The board of commissioners chair at the center of the voting controversy in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, involving the Senate race between Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) and Republican challenger David McCormick said her comments about violating laws were “misinterpreted.”
Diane Ellis-Marseglia tried to walk back her words on Monday, suggesting she did not mean she supported breaking the law or violating the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She claimed that what she said was misinterpreted, misconstrued, and taken out of context, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. She also apologized for her comment and the “confusion it caused.”
“I apologize for all the upset and confusion it caused,” said Ellis-Marseglia, a Democrat in Bucks County. (Washington Examiner, 11/19/24)
Will Marseglia's apology be followed up with anything concrete? I personally strongly doubt it.
