What are you waiting for?

     Praying is important. We pray for guidance, for relief of sickness, we pray for financial relief. We pray for our children and grandchildren so they are protected from the evils of this world. We pray for good health. We pray for success in our studies and closeness to God. Praying is important. Getting on our knees and begging God to listen is big. Sometimes we need to beg. Life is confusing and challenging enough and to think of going it alone just with our own strength, is not smart. 

     It's just so comforting to let someone else take that burden that has been laying on your shoulders for so long. It's like a drink of cool water after walking miles and miles in the heat. Barely able to move on, our bodies seek help. Why do we wait so long? What are we waiting for? God is our hero. He's the only one that can take our troubles and turn them into triumphs! 

     Our sins are heavy! They weigh us down all the way till our faces are to the ground. Just think? Jesus Christ shed drops of blood just on the sight of them in the Garden of Gethsemane! Let's take His cue. He let His Holy Father carry Him through. That's what we need to do. Our release of control and submitting ourselves to God's Holy Will is the only way to go. What are we waiting for? For bad things not to happen to us anymore? That's not real. We cannot escape sometimes doom. But we can be assured that we are not going it alone. When all the friends in the world are around us,  only He Himself can carry us through. He has helpers yes, we're even helpers for Him sometimes. But ultimately it's Him and His Will that makes us the most satisfied. 

    Our struggles are not over. Don't make Him wait on us. We don't ever have to wait on Him. He knows the right time to make things happen and that's part of the surrender. The blue skies will come and the dark clouds will go. Some days will be good, and some days will be bad. Just like the wonderful Christian Duo " for King & country" sings,   "What are we waiting for?"  "Why are we wasting all the time like someone's making more?"....
