Disappointing Election Results; Warning Shots; What Can Be Done Better
So, we have Thanksgiving on our minds even before having read this article. Believe me, I am one of them.
Some will say that Thanksgiving is about food, football, and family. One for three there.
Thanksgiving is more than just food and football. Rather, it is also a time for us to count the blessings and sharing them.
Looking back at 2024, I was blessed to have amazing co-workers, colleagues, and even friends who have helped me get through a life’s journey.
Whether it is searching for a new job, making the right decision, enjoying what life has to offer, helping me develop professionally, or finally accomplishing a personal goal in mind, there is time to take part in thanking God for what he has given.
As we celebrate the holiday, let us remember the gifts God has given to us. As G.K Chesterton would remind us that giving thanks is, “the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”
Remember, our life’s journey is teaching us to thank God for what we have and not worrying what we don’t have. Material things will not go with us to the next life. Enjoy the things that matter most now.
Let us give thanks to God for family, friends, his blessings, and for all the times that he has helped us through many tribulations.
For me, I can relate to the many above. These blessings that God has given to me are not meant to be kept to oneself. Rather, they must be shared. Every day is Thanksgiving, when we thank God for all that he gives to us.
"You are being enriched in every way for all generosity, which through us produces thanksgiving to God, for the administration of this public service is not only supplying the needs of the holy ones but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God. Through the evidence of this service, you are glorifying God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your contribution to them and to all others, while in prayer on your behalf they long for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" 2 Corinthians 9:11-15
Happy Thanksgiving. God bless
