Jesus Is Our Blessed Hope

EXCERPTS FROM MY SPIRITUAL JOURNAL
Love Letter to God - You are my God. You are the God of all. God before creation. God through the ages. God of heaven and earth. Lover of everything living. My Love before I was. My Love Now. My Love for eternity. Knowing that you love me with such a pure, sweet, holy, merciful, divine love is enough for me to let go of everything that might keep me from loving you completely. My God I will always love you. I will love you steadfastly while I breathe. I will love you even more when you take my breath from me. As I breathe my last breath I will love you fervently as my soul lives on. The wonder and joy you promised will be mine as I live in your presence for eternity. For you are my God, my Love.
God’s Love is Unique - Our sun is not unique. Every galaxy has a sun. Why is the sun so special to me then?
Earth is such a tiny part of the universe. This fact makes it easy for some to leave God out of creation. Does the concept of God exist only as a myth? Not the God I know. God has always existed. There is only one God. This one God wants me. This one God has always wanted me, has always loved me, will love me for all eternity.
My sun is unique. It’s the gift God gave me to remind me of his existence. “Mighty God, when I see the sun, when I see even a glimpse of the sun I think of you. When I see the sun it’s as if I’m seeing you. I’m filled with joy remembering how much You Love me.”
A Divine Light shines through my window. I’m being touched by God on all levels of longing. As my faith in him persists this Divine Light continues to shine even if it is dark outside because through my window The Heavenly Light of Christ is always streaming in.
“Contemplation is mental communion with God. Spend contemplative time alone with Our Lord in Adoration to keep the flame of love alive in your heart.” Found this in my journal. Don’t think I wrote it but I love it.
I was moved to write this after Holy Communion today. “Jesus we are one heart today as I receive you in Holy Communion. Your Sacred Heart is scarred from being pierced with a spear. So my heart is also scarred from the piercing of the spear. Together we have been wounded and together we are healed.”

Years ago, I suffered from severe anxiety and had many worries. I suffered and was distant from God for almost two years. Finally, I accepted the grace God had been giving me. Jesus loves me unconditionally. I need to love Him unconditionally as well. Jesus and I made a covenant a few years ago when I accepted Him back into my life. I made a promise never lose sight of Jesus again, to keep Him in my life forever. Jesus to help me keep my promises by giving me reminders. Now I’m happy. I understand that every challenge God placed in my path has been for my benefit. There are no obstacles in my path to heaven, unless I choose to take what God gives me and turn it into an obstacle. And though I’m not completely where I need be in trusting Providence and in doing God’s will, this is my life goal. Everything makes sense with God. I desire to share the joy I have in knowing Jesus with others.
