Marine Veteran Acquitted After Defending Passengers on Subway Train

Daniel Penny was found not guilty of manslaughter and negligent homicide on Monday. This comes amid a broken justice system. A Soros-funded DA and progressive judge were all in to make this marine veteran look like a murderer. Here’s the problem. Penny is a hero.

In the spring of 2023, Daniel Penny held Jordan Neely, a homeless man, in a chokehold as Neely was yelling vulgar phrases at passengers. Penny intervened and eventually killed him. Despite using Narcan and administering CPR, Neely was pronounced dead. A video of the chokehold went viral.

Sadly, Jordan Neely had a turn of misfortunes in his life. He was known as a street performer, most notably impersonating the late Michael Jackson. In 2007, his mother was murdered, and he was diagnosed with depression and schizophrenia, which made him be admitted to the hospital, he struggled with drug abuse and had a criminal record that included assault convictions.

Ironically, the father of Jordan Neely abandoned his son and will have to carry this heavy cross of neglect for the remainder of his life. He even said following the verdict that he misses him.

Matt Walsh reacted to the news of his acquittal. He also pointed out what the trial was about, as it was politically motivated by the DA and others who ran a kangaroo court against President-elect Donald Trump

“This wasn’t just unconventional; it was unconstitutional. Penny, like every defendant, has the right to due process. But the judge admitted he was “taking a chance” by allowing this move from the prosecution. He allowed them to alter their strategy after deliberations had already started, something unheard of in New York law. The goal was clear: secure any conviction against Penny, even if it meant breaking from precedent.” The podcaster analyzed.

The Catechism reminds us that self-defense is “a right but a grave duty for someone responsible for another’s life, the common good of the family or of the State” (CCC 2265).

Yes, Penny protected vulnerable passengers. He was even trained as a marine to protect himself and others from those who are hostile.

Even the jury saw this through much of the political noise brought about by Black Lives Matter, who continue to be an illegitimate group as they continue to stir the pot of division more and more.

Penny is a free man. There is now hope in Manhattan. Let’s continue to fight for it.
