Do We Listen
Jesus died and so did John
Very few then at their deaths came to mourn
Both treated by most as scum and garbage
Save for those few disciples of the age
But the message given by our Lord lived on
Growing every day amidst the heathens and their scorn
Throughout the centuries His Words have rung true
Yet there are still many opposed too
Even today after almost two-thousand years
The message still falls on so many deaf ears
We do not listen and do not heed
That for us and our sins and to end death did our Lord rise from that horrible deed
His Glorious Crucifixion and Resurrection
That in itself should spur constant action
But as in the early days of Christianity
The Devil’s grip is still on many
Pray for them and in your heart this Advent season prepare
For one day He will arrive our Savior
For this world to Him one day will be returned
And the evil one will be eternally burned
Amen
