You just can't ever tell

     In this day and age, you just can't ever tell if something is real or not. Except for one thing. That there is a God. A God who is real and who has never changed. All of His decrees, His statutes, His commandments have never changed. He always was and will always be. You buy a car that you think will be wonderful and reliable and a month later it breaks down because it was sold on the pretension that it was in excellent condition with only one owner, but was never told to you that it had been restored after an accident. You see someone with a kind face unaware they are distraught because of some past trauma and assume they just need a friend only to realize they are a con and are in need of a sucker to help them survive. You just can't ever tell. We must have the shield of discernment, prayed constantly to our Lord in petition to guide us and make good choices. Good holy decisions. 

     Our children these days are not taught that enough. They are given without deserving. They assume because they have not been disciplined. Too much avoided because of inconvenience. They continue with bad habits and there are no consequences and then the big question is said aloud with much conviction, "why"? 

     You cannot expect anyone to produce well without boundaries. It must be that once those boundaries are crossed they must be taught what would have been the better choice or action. Anything goes anymore. Is this really what we want our society to be? Our future lies in obeying God. He is a good and merciful God, but He is also our Justice. All of us must keep remembering that there is a recount of all of our good actions and bad. Nothing will be missed. The notion of "if it feels good, do it" , should be thrown out the window along with poor judgment. Sometimes, a lot of times, the truth hurts. Not to be rubbed in our faces, but to learn from.

     You just can't ever tell. So be cautious of your decisions and beliefs because the only thing for sure is God, and He is never wrong.
