If the question was asked how much I know about someone could my response be positive?
In the Realm of Death we shall find the Life that is Everlasting!!
Read the obituary of any particular person, especially of a loved one, and try to ascertain their accomplishments beyond what the obituary will list. Somehow, we may hear from the minister or a close relative of the deceased person’s attributes to lift the memory of their life, in a few short pronouncements.
It isn’t as though these achievements will garner a greater view from God that may be like a lawyer presenting this person’s ability to find a higher place in God’s eternal world. However, a quick look at some of the details that Jesus spoke of regarding the final judgement and what the path the soul will take upon listening to the Judge’s decision. (Mt 25: 31 - 46).
Read carefully the words Jesus spoke regarding the parable of the Judgment of the Nations. “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him.” Now the footnote to this section questions if this is a parable since the many that suffered were missionaries preaching the gospel. However, we must adhere to the fact that the intentions of those who will be noted for their attempt to reach the hearing of the flock that is yet to be evangelized will find the acceptance by disbelievers may get them a terrible end for blocking the message of forgiveness from God.
Matthew’s Eschatology Discourse paints a clear picture of what lies ahead for many, and this scenario filters down to the 21st Century that directly affects all of us in addition to past eons. So, speaking for our departed friends we may try to place their position before God in a manner of overlooking anything they may not have been perfect in treating other people in a holy manner.
One thing we will all be judged upon will be the very essence in which we must treat all people
according to the gospel of freedom and mercy in spite of their ignorance of God’s grace. The prayers we muster up for our departed friends is a hope that God’s mercy will be tolerant enough to find some semblance of goodness from this person who now has passed the ability to extend compunction for their rejection of God’s everlasting forgiveness.
Jesus told his listeners that all sin is forgivable except the sin against the Holy Spirit. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is paramount to believing and teaching that God cannot or will not forgive sin. The very reason Christ came to earth, assuming humanity, was to forgive the sin of man. Without this belief anyone who adheres to this thought is lost in eternal darkness. Accepting this as Truth will be our ticket to freedom from hell to eternal life with God. That wrong move will be the Realm of Death from which there is no release or forgiveness. Why? Because the choice we make determines our own free will. That is what determines our eternal existence.
