The Visit

Blessed Mother Mary went

off to see her cousin

Elizabeth who was pregnant with her son the Baptist John

A miracle of sorts was this pregnancy

Prayers answered by two who waited patiently

Zechariah and Elizabeth

Now being aided by she who would give birth

To our Savior our Eternal King

Jesus the Son of He Who created everything

She went out of pure love

To help an old cousin after being told by an Angel from above

To help to aide to do the Father’s Will

She went while pregnant in a desert on foot and never had a pill

Instead she went and offered hope and kindness

Something we all should be trying and not just in this Advent season

Amen
