Dealing with the "Art" of Father Marco Rupnik
Christmas Eve and one week from the start of a new year- What better times to contemplate and pray for better appreciation of God's gift of marriage/family/human sexuality! As I noted elsewhere:
"The natural law, the Creator's very good work, provides the solid foundation on which man can build the structure of moral rules to guide his choices. It also provides the indispensable moral foundation for building the human community. Finally, it provides the necessary basis for the civil law with which it is connected, whether by a reflection that draws conclusions from its principles, or by additions of a positive and juridical nature" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1959) [link added]
In my experience, very few understand the magnificent beauty of the Catholic Church's natural law teaching on marriage/family/human sexuality. I believe that there has been great negligence on the part of those charged with teaching: "the vast majority of bishops in Europe, the Americas, and Australia, regions where homosexuality became widespread in the wake of the Sexual Revolution of the Sixties, failed to comply with...prudent 1986 instructions from the Holy See" (p.13) [link added]. Vast majorities of our hierarchy and clergy never shouted St. Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body" [link added] from the rooftops.
As I also wrote elsewhere:
Since 2013, I have heard little about the [Vatican's] aforementioned Humanum conference .... I am experiencing the aforementioned “Six professionally made films” as rediscovered treasure – part of a kick start to reawaken us to the grandeur of God’s plan for marriage and family....For the souls of our children, grandchildren, and all whom we love, we must not tire from proclaiming Truth! (Catholic Stand, 12/14/24)
