Our Lady of Mount Carmel
I painted 11 bluebirds and 4 sweet butterflies, as a reminder of my dear grandchildren and my four Angels in heaven, on my back door. Each morning they greet me as I venture out into the day. They make me smile and remind me that I am loved. Each and every symbol of love are so very dear to my heart. The butterflies, Isabel, Jamie, Tommy, and Elizabeth look down from heaven and follow their GGi everywhere. The bluebirds, Gabriel, Gemma, Gwenny, Lenny, Marley, Eli, Teddy, Vivi, Corey, CeCe , and Celeste shine brightly in my life. I am loved. It makes me smile to know God has filled my cup to overflowing. Each child is a great reminder of the precious life that came down from Heaven one day to fill our family with such joy.
If I am sad, all I have to do is open that back door and then allow their little lives into my heart once again. The bright light they have emitted into my soul makes me praise God all the more.
All children, in their beloved innocence, our precious gifts. All of them. Our job is to teach them respect and to walk in the light of God. It doesn't take money or fame to be warranted for the protection of their souls. Many adults having babies, neglect the need for respect and role models for future living. The desire to shut them up with electronics or simply turning a blind eye to disrespect is an epidemic that no shot in the arm can cure. Only true love, with respect for them learning vital lessons in their growth, is the answer. The bottom line is Love. Teach your children well. The word "no" is not a dirty word. It is empowering with the right solution to boundaries. A lesson I have had to learn myself many many times.
My little bluebirds and butterflies are precious to my heart and I will do everything in my power, with the Guidance and Grace of a God who is watching and ready to teach us all the correct way of how to get to Heaven.
