Why Can’t We
My Father’s House
My Father’s House
So wonderful it be
All welcome save for maybe a mouse
All welcome here says He
That is why why He seemed perplexed
That year of the Passover
When His parents found Him and were terribly flummoxed
The Twelve Year Old then promised until proper age again never
We too should want to always be there
In the quiet of the nave
In His House in His Care
A place to be reverent and never misbehave
Our place to worship and adore
The God Who made us
And His Son whose arms are as an open door
We need to be in this Wonderful Palace
Every Sunday as a must not a minimum
And on every weekday
If we can though there we may miss some
Never ceasing to You Lord we continually pray
Amen
