Holy Family Mediation: The Finding in the Temple | The Jewish People “Find” the Messiah in the NEW Temple, the Catholic Church, at the End of the World, the Third “Age”?

The micro events of the finding of the Christ in the Old Temple of God by Our Lady and St Joseph perfectly mirror the macro events of Church history of the final conversion of the Jews if the best apocalyptic scenario of most fully approved private revelations is true, as they “find the Messiah” in the New Temple of God, the Catholic Church!

Behold, the Jewish People many times communed with God in the holy place, Jerusalem. But when the fullness of time had been reached—12, Completeness, as in: 12 Tribes, 12 Apostles, 12 hours in a day, 12 notes in music, 12 months in a year, when Jesus is “12 years old”, the fullness of childhood—the Jews experienced in Jerusalem the ultimate pilgrimage: the Passion, Death and Resurrection of the Messiah. But the Messiah would never leave that place in presence. Rather, His latency in His Church by the Spirit would stay there forever, even if it also spread everywhere in the world, in all nations and tongues, by the infinite proxmiity of the Eucharist. But this Jesus, who never left Jerusalem, but only transformed it into the New Jerusalem, though He remained there forever, the Jews did not know it, just as Mary and Joseph did not know that Jesus had remained behind as well.

And in less than a generation, that People departed from that place, for there was no longer any room for them. The pagan power had expelled them. They went out from Jerusalem and wondered in the diaspora, a caravan, as it were, with many nations and peoples, just as Mary and Joseph, and their “caravan,” departed from Jerusalem. But after a while, that People realized that the Messiah had not come, that He was not with them. They began to look for Him. They looked for him for one day--for one evening and one morning, (“evening came and morning followed, the first day, …. evening came and morning followed, the second day”, etc. Genesis!) for one phase of spiritual darkness, and one phase of spiritual light for the true people of God, the Church.

For, the first day of the Church began with the night of pagan Rome and her brutal persecutions. Then, in Constantine, the sun began to rise, and the Catholic Church progressively converted the continent, so that, in the Middle Ages, in the age of Faith, the sun was at midday, the height of Catholic influence: Scholasticism, Sacred Art, Philosophy, Christian Europe.

Then, with the great heretical rebellion, the sun of Catholic Christendom began to set: Protestantism, the last of the supernatural light, then the mere natural twilight of only reason, the so-called Enlightenment: French Revolution, Masonry, and the countless infidelities and philosphies that attempted to find the meaning of human life and its problems, with only reason, or solo-ratio, without acceptance of any Revelaiton or grace, or salvation from God, just like its mother, sola-scriptura, was the great mantra of the poor heretics, who likewise condounded the Scriptures as the supernaturally dead infidels of its child confounded reason ad infinitum.

Finally, in the twentieth century, all these things led to the rejection of even reason, which was at least in muddied form accepted in the previous age by the philosphers and such who rejected the supernatural but still held to some sense of natural human logic and experience: the night fell, commencing the second day (for, remember, an age of recreation starts with darkness and is followed by light: “evening came and morning followed, the first day...”): horrifying atheistic materialism in the East, and then, a little later, decadent, arrogant, frivolous, relativistic hedonistic materialism in the West. The night is back, it is the next day of the Church, again, the second day.

And what happened as that sun set into godless apostasy in the latter half of the twentieth century? Behold, those who had been looking for the Messiah in the outer regions of the caravan, returned home, returned to Jerusalem, just as after the first day, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to continue looking for Jesus. This People, having returned to Jerusalem since the late 1960’s, more specifically, in the six day war of June, 1967, are still looking for the Messiah in sorrow and distress.

And in fact, what also took place in that historical proximity? Consider the wonder of Apocalypse 11:

1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and it was said to me: Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar and them that adore therein. 2 But the court, which is without the temple, cast out, and measure it not: because it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot two and forty months: 3 And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks, that stand before the Lord of the earth. …

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast, that ascendeth out of the abyss, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their bodies shall lie in the streets of the great city, which is called spiritually, Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord also was crucified. 9 And they of the tribes, and peoples, and tongues, and nations, shall see their bodies for three days and a half: and they shall not suffer their bodies to be laid in sepulchres. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry: and shall send gifts one to another, because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt upon the earth.

Here, notice the profound correlation behind parallel activity: the time of “witness” is concurrent with time of the “trampling” of the presumed Jersualem by the “Gentiles.”

(Since the Jewish month is exactly 30 days, 42 months is exactly the same, allegorically, as 1260 days, and more specifially, three and one half years in, again, Jewish time. Three and one half in Biblical symbolism means great imperfection, since it is half of seven, which is as we all know, a symbol of pergection in Scripture, Consequently, sound symbolic understanding of three and one half years, or three and one half days, means periods of great imperfection, or distress. Toward this end, the comparison of three and one half years, versus days, could express that the first period is very significant in duration, while the latter, relativiely short. We will see shortly that this is very appropos.)

And these are the very words of Christ in Luke: “And Jerusalem shall be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled!”

For almost 2000 years, the Catholic Church has been “witnessing” to the world through her teachings and developing, all the while persistently receiving the efforts of heretics, schismatics, infidels, apostates and such, to try and “harm” her spiritually by the rejection of her apocalyptic “witnessing” of the ages of her doctrinal development. And yet, whoever rejects any beautiful doctrine of the Church brings his own spiritual harm upon himself, for the consequences of false ideas and heresies bring spiritual harm to the very degree and nature that they attack the truth and grace of God.

And through all this development, the same literal “holy city” has been in literal possession by mostly Gentiles till, you got it, the progressive migration back to holy land of the People who were wandering in partial darkness, still trying to find where the Messiah has been “taken from the tomb.”

And what, may we ask, occurred just proximate at this time in Church history when the Jewish People finally retook the “holy city” in the midst of the year 1967?

You got it: the Church, in her epic “witness” of some 2000 years, “finished” her first great preaching and testifying of what is surely like an illuminate way for her, one of the greatest culminating councils of her entire heritage: Vatican II!

Vatican II was effectively the apex and supreme culmination of its first great, again, epic journey of truth, where she “completed” this magnificent era by wrapping up 2 millenia of doctrine and renewal of humanity by, rather than presenting any new dogmatic teaching, nonetheless REpresented its timeless wisdom and love to humanity one final time for this era, in a more loving and positive manner, so that humanity, having largely abadoned her in that modern time, might REconsider her treasures of love, goodness, and veracity: so that, in renewing its acceptance of the Gospel freely, humanity might enjoy at least some respite from the neverending strife and misery of human condition of sin, before the final end of darkness at the very end comes, at St Paul’s “rebellion” of 2 Thess 2, the GREAT apostasy, which is unlike today is merely the MINOR godless age.

And also, what happened in the immediate history following the Jerusalem recapture and the, again, “wrap up” of Vatican II? You guessed it: a figurative “beast” of minor apostasy rose up and instigated a certain “murder” of the Church’s witness, of her acceptance by much of European Civilation, those parts of the world that had traditionally been Christian for many centuries? For no sooner did Jerusalem attain repossession by the Jewish People in 1967, and Vatican II conclude its wondrous completion of “wintess”, then in the late 1960’s, the sexual rebellion occurred, which commenced what we have now endured for over a generation: a godless age in which faith and morals have all but tanked completely in, again, much of the lands that used to have traditional Christianity, especially the USA.

St Paul VI saw it all coming through his timelss Catholic wisdom, for precisely on the cusp of this terrible rebellion against the sixth commandment, he told the world that if it accepted and practiced unnatural birth control on a widespread scale, it would lead to the total collapse of morality everywhere, that the family would be annihilated, and that eventually, human beings would be regarded as mere biological machines! Sound familiar? How many countless PB announcers refer to the race of human beings as a “species”?

St Paul VI was not using a crystal ball but simply following the IMPLICATIONS of Catholic wisdom. In short, fertility is SACRED, because from it comes a creature of loving and profound personhood, of intellect that can grasp the invisible, the abstract, the mystery that no animal can comprehend, and the will, which can choose to love or not love, to do good, or evil, unlike an animal, which only has instinct.

We should ask: WHY is unnatural birth control so serious, and WHY does it/will it, lead to total moral collapse of a civiliation that embraces and gives into it? Let us explore what both our beloved papal saints have given us: St Paul VI and St John Paul II, the GREAT, Theology of the Body!

To begin, as above, fertitlity, when made efficacious, gives rise to a creature that is NOT an animal, NOT a “species,” but a PERSON, a PERSON with intellect and will, part physical, part spiritual, and who shall exist in one of two places forever: heaven or hell. NO person is really “ordinary.” They are an irreplacable imprint of God’s Love and Image. Unique, no one other person is like them entirely, with the same life experiences, with the same lifetime of choices, with the same progression or digression in the knowledge and love of God. For this reason, no human being can ever be regarded as a mere THING, a MEANS to an end, to be used for profit or gain! No! Precisely because of its immeasurable soul, that will, again, live forever with the body forever in either the new creation that will exist without end after the end of time, or in hell, body and soul without end, the human creature is always an END unto itself! This is the basis of ALL Catholic morality. If the soul is disregarded, then the creature, as St Paul VI foresaw, descends into merely an animal, a “biological machine.” If that happens, all morality must collapse. Indeed, from another vantage point, unnatural birth control must DENY this sacredness of fertility because it PROACTIVELY attacks fertitiltiy by seeking to suppress it, to nullify it, to attack it. Consquently, if it does this, it must necessarily see fertitility as nothing more than biology, and if that is the case, it must eventually regard what emerges from it as merely biology as well, and were then back to the above: the human person has no soul, and hence, all morality collapses.

Moreover, if humans are only biology, all faith must go out the door as well, since, without a spiritual essence to the human person, there might as be no God, or at least, no relevant God. Subsequently also, atheism, materialism and relativism follow.

This, then, is why the minor apostasy emerged from the sexual rebellion of the late 1960’s, a “figurative wild beast”, bringing about a world without a consceience as well, seeing as, with human beings having no soul or transcedant God, conscience is irrelevent. Hence, a world that celebrates the death of the witness of the Church, the sackcloth and ashes that would torment their soul with “witness” to the moral culpability and responsibility of all persons to fear God.

All these things, then, very appropriately image the time of the Jewish people RETURNING to the holy land as a SECOND darkness, or DAY of the Church, an illuminative culmination of a certain “dark night of the soul” for her, which is an intermediate darkness for the individual saint also in their journey.

Soon, we are told, by most private but approved prophets of the Catholic Church, a great tribulation shall bring a light again: the Gentiles will repent, Christians will be reunited, and a great period of light, of peace, shall dawn on man; Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart will Triumph. Hence, the sunrise of the second day of the Church is imminent.

Then, the same prophets tell us, mostly, that after this great final light within human history, man shall grow lax, and forget the apocalyptic lesson he learned. He shall begin to fall away into the final night, the night of the third day, the great apostasy.

And behold, Public Revelation tells us that this same People looking so anxiously for the Anointed One will finally find Him and recognize Him in this last darkness of history, the time of the very end, the time of the New Testament Antichrist, who will seem to “fulfill” OT Antichrist figure Antiochus IV Epiphanies, the last character of darkness for the Jewish People, who exercised brutal persecution of the Jews at that time, just as our NT Antichrist will exercise the final brutal persecutio of the NEW People of God.

But returning to the Jewish People, in this final darkness, this final FULFILLMENT, they will not find Jesus, the MESSIAH, in the OLD Temple, as Mary and Joseph did, but in the NEW Temple, which is the Catholic Church! And will they not say in anguish to the Messiah apocalyptically, “Jesus, all this time, for three great ages, we have sought thee in sorrow and anguish.” And the Christ shall answer them and say, “Did you not know that I would be in My Father’s House (the New Temple, the Catholic Church), and about His business (redeeming the Gentiles)?”
