Community! God's Way of Spreading His Life and Love with Man.
At Last we have found the Christ of our lives!
To what do we owe our new-found life that Christ brought to us as he died on the Cross? Of course we all know why he went to Calvary, and did not withhold his sacrifice to redeem you and me. However, we need to dig deeper into this wonderful gift the Holy Trinity decided to save mankind from eternal darkness. Yes, God could have left man to his own selfish desire of being left alone in human history and never finding forgiveness for his foolishness, but then what to do with this race of created beings that would remain outside of an eternal sustenance for how long? Try to calculate how long eternity is. It cannot be considered in human terms, but it will last forever, whatever that term really means to the finite mind.
God is too loving to create an item called humanity and then allow him to exist without ever knowing what eternity made of pure love is about. We must understand that the Love, which is God, knew before he called us into being that we would seek our sinful make-up called weakness. No, we were not created sinful, but because sin entered the world before he created us the probability of sin that was already present would become an attraction to the weakness that is man’s failing.
Why, then, did God create an entity he would name humanity? Humanity, according to dictionaries, is the quality of being kind, thoughtful, and sympathetic towards others. Well, what happened? As man grew in stature and intelligence he allowed the forms of evil to stand in his way towards the Creator’s desire of a holy creation. So how did God make a plan and instill itsit’s ramifications into man, he endowed each of us with the gift of Free Will.
As we began to mature in life and all of its attractions, which are contrary to holiness, man had to learn through trial and error what we were created for. Once he discovered the essence of obedience to God man would now use this gift to exclude evil desires in place of an eternal existence with God. That is what free will not only is, it also is the only way back to the Heart of Christ; that is Love in all of its premises.
Since God is perfect love and this love is pure light we must always look for the Light that is Christ. “What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (Jn 1: 4 - 5).
Therefore, God’s desire to create from nothing before, he planned an existence of a race that would surely give back to his creator the same love using his gift of free will and accept the gift of eternal love with the Holy Trinity and the heavenly Host who announced the Birth of Jesus Christ.
