Matthew ,Mark, Luke and John
Maria Simma was born on February 2nd, 1915 in Sonntag, Austria. She was the second of eight children. Her mother and father were poor peasant farmers and the family lived a " hand to mouth" existence. They were humble Catholics who possessed a very devout Catholic faith to God. At around 7 years old, Maria felt a strong call to help others, even through prayer and sacrifice she felt her destiny lay as a religious nun or a lay missionary. She told her mother she would never marry because of this strong desire.
However, at age 8, she fell very sick with pleurisy and pneumonia and this damaged and weakened her health for many years afterwards. She entered the religious superiors of the Sacred Heart of Jesus convent in Hall (Tyrol) Austria. But after less than a year the mother Superior informed her that she was too weak and sickly for the rigors of religious life and then thus obligated her to leave. She entered again after a third time with the Franciscans, in Gossau, Switzerland. But again, such was not the will of God. With this last refusal, she realized God did not want her to be a nun, but that her apostolate was to be an unmarried lay person "living in the world" among her fellow countrymen. She spent much of her days doing housework and sewing, helping around the farms and watching neighbors children. Most of all, she lived each moment in a spirit of love, prayer and devotion to God and her neighbor. Living out her Catholic faith to the best of her ability. It should be noted, that at a young age, her mother taught her to pray frequently for the poor souls in purgatory.
I beg of you to continue reading her biography as to the importance of always praying for and asking intercession from all of the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
The stories this great religious mystic has related to the world in the book "get us out of here!" is truly a gift sent from God. There, it relates how many souls, including Bishop's and priests have visited her, begging for masses and prayers to help release them from Purgatory.
As we all know, someday, we will all die. But God in His Almighty Justice deems that we must be worthy of being in His presence. Our sins are truly washed cleaned by a true repentant confession but the atonement must be administered by His Holy judgment.
Maria Simma, is certified as approved by the Vatican and what she recounts in the true words of the poor souls in Purgatory is enough to heed the words of those suffering there.
Let us turn away from the evils of this world. From mind, body and soul that is not leading us to heaven. For it is here, on Earth, that we can atone a little for all the numerous sins we have committed. Once we die, we are reliant on all those still alive to pray for "our" souls.
Pray always for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, so that we too may help get them "out of there" and that's someday, someone, may also do the same for us.
