Forrest Gump at 30 and Its Faith Lessons
America is less than two weeks away from another four years of Donald Trump. His election was officially certified by his former opponent. Since he first left office four years ago, President Joe Biden created a mess that must be cleaned up.
It brings us to what Trump can address from January 20th to the end of April. For every newly elected or re-elected president, the first 100 days in office is crucial. This is not his first rodeo when it comes to 100 days in office. Trump knows that he will do whatever it takes to accomplish the task. Here is a look at what can be done that will either make or break his second term in office.
Open Keystone Pipeline
Trump is hinting at keeping true to his campaign promises. One of them is putting the workers on the Keystone pipeline back in business.
Pardon Political Prisons
To date, more than a dozen pro-life activists have been indicted by Biden’s Justice Department for the controversial FACE Act. On two occasions, Trump hinted that he would review the cases and likely free all who have been indicted by the feds.
Tax Cuts
Trump hopes that his supporters will extend the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act — Trump’s signature legislative achievement — before it expires at the end of 2025. The deficit is now at a record $34 trillion. It’s time to make the necessary cuts that will benefit working families.
Trump also campaigned to end taxes on overtime and tips. This could be a reality soon met by Trump’s first week back in office.
Ending Wars in the Middle East, Ukraine, and the Holy Land
Under Biden, wars have broken out across the world. When Trump was in office from 2017 to 2021, he kept everyone in check. However, it changed under Biden. Ukraine was invaded by Russia. Palestine and Israel have attacked each other and killed many in the process.
Trump wants to promote “peace through strength.” He will undoubtedly work hard to bring about world peace without firing a missile or bullet.
Finish the Wall and Address Border Crisis
The attack on New Orleans and other thwarted plots are a result of Biden’s open border policy. While some may argue that everyone should be welcome into the United States, it also should be met with some rules and any who are guilty of crimes or on the wanted list should be turned away.
Those in the US who have not applied for citizenship should do so.
Appoint Judges Who Respect the Constitution
Trump will have vacancies to fill. It’s time to put more liberty-loving judges on the high benches to protect life and liberty.
Will Trump get much accomplished in his first 100 days back in office? Time will tell. Yet, he has delivered when it was needed.
It all begins on January 20th 2025.
