Mary Magdalene as Type of Old to New
I would like to share some speculative Catholic theology that I have shared often with my friends and in other groups if you might allow me to do so in your group....
Title:
Spiritual and figurative sexuality theology in the woman at the well and in Apocalypse Jezebel
Catholic patriarchs and priestss marry their parishes, like Christ marries the church. So they are, spiritual husbands.
The Orthodox also have valid patriarchs and priests, so their men are also spiritual husbands. But the Orthodox are spiritually partly divorced from Christ's true body, and so their patriarchs and priests, though legitimate husbands, are like divorced and remarried husbands because their religion is, again, partially divorced from Christ.
What then are we to make of the heretical ministers?
Unfortunately, the heretical communities do not have legitimate apostolic succession. Only legitimate, or formal, apostolic succession, can render a man a Bishop who can in turn ordain a priest to make him a true, formal man of God.
Consequently, since there are no true Bishops who can ordain in the name of God formally within protestantism, Protestant ministers are ultimately merely self-appointed pseudo men God.
This situation is effectively making them, as it were, a pseudo husband, which is not to incriminate Protestant ministers, but it is to say that objectively, it is like a spiritual cohabitation in the sense that they live and spiritually really minister to their flock, in much the same way in which a true spiritual husband ministers to his wife. But since the relationship is not spiritually formal, precisely because of apostolic succession, it is unfortunately like a man who lives with a woman and is like a husband/ wife relationship but in the end is just spiritual cohabitation, even though the Protestant Minister and his flock mean well and might even be saved given their subjective sincerity.
Hence, as the Christ testifies to the woman at the well, you are right, for you have had five husbands, and the man you are now with is not your husband.
Derivatively, the apostles established effectively five great apostolic seats, like the five husbands.
In the beginning, mainly all of Christianity, sparing a remnant of heretics, were married to the ultimate true husband of the entire church, which is Peter.
Later, the first very substantial division of Christians occurred with the schism, in which a great portion of humanity divorced themselves from peter, the ultimate true earthly husband of christians, and took about herself quote on quote four lesser husbands, which is to say the other four apostolic seats.
Later then, the most horrible division for Christianity was the Great heretical rebellion, and, as we have just seen above, the men that emerge from this terrible event, are themselves only self-appointed live-in partners for their communities, and so cohabitation in a spiritual sense is the final result; and hence, the expression: and the man you are now with is not your husband.
Now, in Jezebel, of the fourth letter of apocalypse, she seduces the servants of Jesus to fornicate and to eat meat to idols.
If we give a spiritual hyperbolic interpretation to this reality, remembering that Jesus says of her spiritually that she Styles herself a prophetess, much like how protestantism styled itself the true revealer of the Divine doctrines of Christ,
so the mystical protestantism seduced much of Christ's flock to , as it were, enter into spiritually cohabitating relationships through self-appointed ministers and their communities.
Also, it is Christ's desire that his true disciples might eat the true meat sacrifice to the father, which is nothing short of the flesh of the Son of God, which is to say, the body and blood soul and Divinity of Jesus.
Precisely because, once again, the heretical communities lack apostolic succession, then the only true sacraments they possess are baptism and marriage, since baptism and marriage do not require a priest, who can only come from apostolic succession.
Consequently, the other five sacraments they lack beyond baptism and marriage, include the holy eucharist, so that, consequently, they do not possess the true meat of God to sacrifice to the father, and only, as it were, a symbol of the body blood soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
And so, since this form of worship that does does not have a true liturgy of the eucharist, it is unfortunately something that God does not fully desire for Christians to have when they worship him, so that it is, hyperbolically, idol worship. Therefore in consequence, their worship is, mystically and symbolically, like fornication and eating meat sacrificed to idols
Supplemental comments
You can’t be fully rigorous about the apocalypse here yet, because you need to establish a same rigorous way to look at the letters, and in the case of this, I see the devil only appears in two major sections of apocalypse, namely how he is called Satan in the letters, and then in the latter portion of Apocalypse, in the scenes of the dragon, beginning in Apocalypse 12.
Since these are the only two major sections in which we have the devil, I draw the conclusion that the solution to looking at the seven letters as the ages of the church is to correlate them to the primary scenes of the dragon in the latter portion of apocalypse, from apocalypse 12 all the way to apocalypse 20 inclusive, where the dragon is primary.
When we do that, everything really fits largely, and in fact, the seven letters actually supplement the dragon scenes with very profound details.
At any rate then, the fourth letter of apocalypse ends up being on the scene where the dragon spews a flood after the woman and the Earth swallows it.
Here, the Earth symbolizes the magisterium, which is the pillar and ground of the truth according to Paul to St Timothy,
And this scene of the dragon is the combined assault that the dragon exercises against the church in the form of first hurricane of Protestant heresies, and then the spiritual child spawned from this, the supernatural death of much of humanity, where infidel heresies are confounded ad infinitum with reason, just like the Protestant heresies were confounded at Infinity with scripture.
In both of these cases, the magisterium is able to save the church from being carried away as it were by this River of chaos of lies and false doctrines galore.
That is, the earth, or the pillar and ground of truth, which is the church, as once again, St Paul testifies to Timothy, opens its mouth and swallows all these hurricanes of errors and saves the quote unquote woman from being carried away by it.
Returning to the apocalypse 4th letter, Jezebel then becomes the image of this protestantism, and then we see above the meaning of the fornication and meat to idols as symbolic, spiritual hyperbole.
Then, profoundly, it is written that the Christ gives her quote on quote space to repent. But she does not.
Here, we can imagine the space, as a response of reform of the church to admit that protestantism did have some legitimate objections to the condition of the church, which had a great deal of immorality in the hierarchy, and that consequently caused them to lose trust in her authority.
And yet, there was a great space that Christ used to respond to protestantism, in a manner that would hopefully help them restore them to faith of the church by renewing it or reforming it and it's morals and practices, and then answering the myriads of heretical objections that the Protestants had, through the unfathomably great and profound council of trent, which so wonderfully established the doctrinal issues that have still carried away so many Protestant denominations, that another council was not needed until some almost 400 years later with Vatican one, which is to say the latter portion of the 19th century.
And yet, what was ,as it were the offspring of Jezebel? Well, clearly the unfathomable Christian division and hurricane of divisive ideas and confusion, once again, led to a great rejection of supernaturally inclined religion, causing humanity only to trust its singular devices, which is the last vestige of truth, natural wisdom, or reason alone, that is, solo ratio, a certain daughter of the ultimate slogan of the heretical rebellion, which was sola scriptura.
This then, can be the profound meaning of the hyperbolic words of Christ that sting so terribly, when he says that: and behold, I will kill her children with death!
Obviously, Christ does not desire any individual human or community to die not only physically but even spiritually.
Therefore, there must be some hyperbolic deeper sense here.
And actually, it makes sense when we look at what occurs above, that humanity, once again severely disillusioned by the unfathomable division and of Christians, as well as organized religion in general, the response of the world was to quote unquote die a supernatural death, in which they rejected any religion or ideology that claims supernatural activity of god, whether through Revelation or Grace.
They decided to only believe in a natural existence, which is the same merely reason and human efforts alone, seeing religion as only natural man trying to understand the above on his own efforts.
This great supernatural death then can clearly be seen as what Christ means by, and I will kill her children with death.
This supplemental discourse concludes the segment to provide a backdrop for seeing Jezebel as the Protestant rebellion.
Thank you for reading this far and God bless you.
