The power of holy water

     God, in His loving mercy, has given us many Sacramentals. The Holy Sacrament of Penance, along with all Sacraments, our Virgin Mary's most Holy rosary, blessed scapulars and holy salt, holy oil, medals of images of Mary and the Saints, and "holy water". A well of blessed water that never runs dry. It is used in our baptism and our death. It is used to bless articles such as Christmas trees and cribs and religious medals and bracelets, rosaries and scapulars. 

     With the Sanctified Holy hands of a priest, they become powerful weapons with the final blessing being Holy water. Sanctified hands of all priests have been touched by the purifying water which has been blessed. We must always pray to Mary, our Mother, for their protection, as they are disciples who have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to be our shepherds. 

     We dip our hand in the Holy font of holy water before entering into the Church. The devil is afraid of it and hates the use of it. It cleanses us and deems us worthy to enter into such a Holy place. 

     We can sprinkle it around our homes and cars or any possession. Blessing them all with the Holy protection from God Himself. We can sprinkle our loved ones from afar with the most holy assurance that they will be safe and that God's will will enter into their lives. 

     Holy water is just another sign of God's great love and protection for us. We should always have a good supply in our homes and cars. There is always a great supply in the fonts in every church and can be easily utilized.
