The Glories of Heaven
The opening lyrics of David Bowie's song"Changes"says this,
Still don't know what I was waiting for
And my time was running wild
A million Dead end streets and
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seems The taste was not so sweet
So I turned myself to face me
But I've never caught a glimpse
How the others must see the faker
I'm much too fast to take the test
Life is speeding by at a rate way too fast for anyone to compare it to. In the blink of an eye children move into adults when you were just getting used to them being small and innocent. It seems to me they're innocence is being stolen from them earlier and earlier. When I was eight, nine, or even 10 years old, I didn't hear anything about pornography or murders or worry about climate change or terrible disasters like tsunamis or these arson fires ravaging places, especially to date, California
Our cities have been built with neglect and entitlement. They didn't start out that way, we changed them. All in the name of modern technology and an easier way, instead of having to take the time out to figure the dimensions and soil and reasonability. Everything is put into a computer and we are told the definition of science. We don't have to use our brains, they do it for us. I'm only 65 years old and I hate it. Not being 65 that is, but that things get so complicated that it's a drag to buy anything without the help of a computer, or remember the meaning or definition of a word, or figuring out a math problem by putting it on paper with a pencil. I've gotten so lazy! I think the whole world has gotten lazy.
What happens to those people that don't want to change? Do they just live in a dark room with the curtains closed? Do they sit and cry about the way things used to be? And never want to change? Thankfully, I'm not quite there yet. But it's such a fine line to not go there. We're supposed to rely on this future of children to be prepared for war, strife or anything serious. They should start having special classes in school that prepares a child for the unexpected, and I'm not talking just what to do if a random shooter enters the school. They should be being taught self protection, of course, but what if a famine hit the land? What if a flood came? Instead, there are people advocating the ""day after" pill and placing machines for children to buy them in public places. Instead, everyone wants to change the sex of the bathrooms to he she, and I'll tell you right now I would never let my child go into one of those bathrooms ever. There's too many bad people out there! That's one thing that hasn't changed. Parents are allowing their children to be unattended at such young ages to go to movies and the malls. What's wrong with going with them? Children want to grow up too fast nowadays and I don't like it.
Our awareness and the knowledge of awareness to all young people, and yes, young adults needs to be pumped up.
"Ch ch ch changes". They will always occur, but are we going to be smart and strong enough to understand which are good and which are bad? Don't become part of a change that obviously does not come from God. Pray for discernment, it will be worth its weight in gold.
