Memorize the Good Things
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." ~John 1:14
I was doing some poking around on the internet and there seems to be a lot of different ideas out there about when the Christmas season begins and ends. According to most shopping centers, Christmas starts right after Halloween, turning Thanksgiving into nothing more than a cooking "practice swing" for Christmas. On the other side of Christmas, I found some sources who say you can't stop celebrating until the beginning of February. That is a lot of partying for celebration of the birth of a baby in a barn! I can't think of anyone else who gets so much attention, not only on their birthday but during the surrounding months as well.
This merits some looking into...I mean, it's not every day a God shrugs on the body of man and lives the life of a mere mortal. What it does it mean to you that an already very much alive God would endure His own little birth into humanity?
