Pray the Holy Rosary
Did you know that at the very spot where Jesus Christ was crucified, underneath the ground is where it is said to be the skull of Adam and his bones. The first created man. That the blood that trickled down the cross fell upon Adam, thus redeeming all of creation from the first sin of Adam. Through this Precious Blood of Jesus we were saved.
Golgotha, (the place of the Skull). What symbolization and true recompensing for the sin that plagued us all. What a fitting spot for the Precious Blood to fall upon. A true depiction of the cross in many paintings or man-made crucifixes does have at the bottom of the cross a"skull". It is also said that the Holy crucifixion of Jesus Christ was on the same ground, around or near where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac. The same symbolization of a father sacrificing his son.
Ann Catherine Emerick, in her visions from God, says this, "I saw the place where Adam was buried. It was directly beneath the spot where the Cross of Jesus stood. I saw Jesus's blood trickling down and falling upon Adam's bones and cleansing them". How appropriate. How Sacred, the God who created all things, all men and women, to send His only Son to cleanse the sin of Adam.
All four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all have present in their writings that Jesus was crucified at Golgotha, "the place of the skull". Not the place of the "skulls", but the place of " the Skull". Being called Golgotha naming it that specifically, because of the bones and skull of Adam.
Origin recounts saying, "Christ's blood shed on the cross, Sanctified the Earth and in particular, the place of the Skull, symbolically bringing life where death reigned through Adam". The location of the crucifixion is no accident but a sign that the salvation offered by Christ reaches back to the beginning of humanity, redeeming Adam's fall.
Another early Church Father who lived in 310-403, says this, "Our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified at Golgotha, nowhere else, then where Adam's body lay buried. For after leaving Paradise, living opposite of it, for a long time and growing old, Adam later came and died in this place, I mean Jerusalem and was buried there on the site of Golgotha, nowhere else than where Adam's body lay buried."
"Adam died there and was buried there and Adams remains are pointed out at Golgotha.... And Jesus Christ rose from the dead in this place, Adam's resting place".
St Jerome, the great Saint who put the writings of the Gospels together to form the Bible, says, "Golgotha, the place of the Skull, is called so because the skull of the first man Adam, is said to have been buried there. And thus, as Christ died for all mankind, His blood fell upon the place of Adam's grave, symbolizing the redemption of all mankind from the sin of Adam. Christ was crucified on the very site, where death first entered the world, so that as in Adam all died, so in Christ Jesus all were made alive again". "Christ's sacrifice fulfilled what was begun in Adam, reversing the curse and restoring Grace".
Know this. The power of God and His statutes and judgments are real. In giving us His Beloved Son Jesus, He fixed the unfixable. Through His Most Precious Blood. Trust in God always and let the cross be our victory.
