Sponges

Sponges come from the bottom of sea

Nutrients they pick up through their unique body

Harvested by humans to clean and soak up a spill

Sponges can soak up and hold a generous amount of water yes they will

We too have a sponge’s filling capacity

Located in that organ in our cranial cavity

We’ve been given a very unique ability

To gain enormous information a wonderful utility

We can gain and retain all sorts of knowledge

By experiences life at a technical school or college

We are able to soak up all that information

And we can learn what will lead to growth or deformation

And even more importantly we need to expand our knowledge of Jesus our Lord

And expand as do sponges our desire for His Word

We need to know that Evil needs to be avoided as the used wine skins of old

Worthless were they for new wine because they were not able to hold

As our Lord told the Pharisees

Old wine skins will become tragedies

While new wine skins as sponges fulfill

Expanding not bursting they completely fill

We must trust in the Lord for He is true good

Learn to love Him and to enter His brood

And become as a sponge for all of His Teachings

And remove from your mind the Devil’s old wine skins
